Multimodal Vector Embeddings

HNSW Vector Index for Fast Retrieval
Results are retrieved using a Hierarchical Navigable Small World (HNSW) index - the same approach used by large vector search systems in production. It keeps semantic retrieval fast even as your indexed pages, documents, and images grow.
Image Search
Images on your site are embedded alongside text content in the same vector space. Users can search for concepts that appear in photos, diagrams, charts, and illustrations, and image results appear alongside page results naturally, without separate configuration.
PDF & Document Indexing
PDFs linked on your site are crawled, parsed, and fully indexed. Each page of a PDF is treated as its own searchable unit, so a query about a specific topic returns the exact page of the exact document where the answer appears, not just the file.
Always Current with Scheduled Re-indexing

Result Scoring & Relevance Tuning

Keyword Boosts
Assign boost weights to specific search terms. When a visitor searches for a boosted term, pages you've promoted rise in the result set. This is useful for important resources, campaigns, or high-priority content that you want to be more discoverable.
Pinned Results
Pin a specific page to always appear at the top for a given query. Use this for your most important search terms, like application forms, contact pages, emergency information, and key policies, so those pages are always found immediately.
Page Weight Controls
Assign relevance weights to specific pages or page groups. A page with a high weight ranks above equally-similar pages in search results. Useful for promoting authoritative sources over less reliable or outdated pages that happen to contain similar keywords.
URL Pattern Weighting
Apply weight multipliers by URL pattern. Pages matching /academics/ can be weighted higher than pages in /archive/, so the most relevant sections of your site naturally surface first without requiring per-page configuration.
Pinned Result Titles
Set a custom display label for a pinned result so the title shown in search matches the language your visitors expect. Useful when a page title is vague, overly long, or less recognizable than the name people actually search for.
